Two Methods To Make Tasty Ice Cream

Bacon tastes good alone, in ice cream, it tastes better. Add a little bourbon; it is absolutely divine.

Makes: 1 large pint
Cook time: 40 minutes


  • 500 g smoked bacon slices crumbled
  • 300 ml bourbon
  • ¼ cup bacon fat
  • 750 ml heavy cream
  • 500 ml whole milk
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 5 egg yolks


  1. Add bacon fat and bourbon to a pan and simmer to half the quantity
  2. Add the cream and milk to it.
  3. Whisk in the brown sugar and vanilla bean for 3 minutes.
  4. Whisk the egg with the whist sugar and strain the bourbon-milk mixture into the eggs.
  5. Cook on high stirring steady until the mixture is thick
  6. Add the bacon and stir well
  7. Freeze until hard and top with extra bacon

Soy sauce Ice cream

Most homes have soy sauce in their pantry. It plays a sultry role in cooking, but it makes the best salty-sweet ice cream too.

Makes: 1 quart
Cook time: 20 minutes


  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup light soy sauce
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp rice flour


  1. Mix the sugar, egg yolks, and soy sauce in a bowl.
  2. Next, bring the cream and milk to a simmer. Add the rice flour and mix well.
  3. Allow it to cool and whisk into the egg mix by the spoonful.
  4. Ensure there are no lumps
  5. Then, freeze as desire
  6. Serve with a caramel sauce
