The 33-year-old said goodbye to his current one Instagram post last week. He joined Chelsea from Chelsea in 2017. He has played 183 games at Old Trafford, scoring 4 goals. His contract expires in June, an extension option will not be used in view of the circumstances.
Roma have often heeded Mourinho’s advice in the transfer market and Matic could be the latest addition to the list. The Portuguese gaffer suggested the acquisition of Rui Patricio, Eldor Shomurodov and Sergio Oliveira. That Giallorossi didn’t shy away from bringing in veterans either.
It’s not the first time the Serbia international has landed on the radar of a Serie A team. Juventus, Inter and Milan have all pursued him in recent years but never really lured him.
