Le Parisien reports that Tottenham Hotspur coach Antonio Conte is looking to land the best job at Paris Saint-Germain next season.

Antonio Conte has a wealth of standings having worked with the Italian national team, Juventus, Inter Milan and Chelsea. Now with Tottenham Hotspur, the Italian coach is trying his hands at a club inferior to his previous employers.

However, his time at the club was very promising and Tottenham now have the ingredients for a team that can compete for titles in England. After giving the club’s identity and having them fight again, Conte feels it’s time to move on.

This is according to Le Parisien who claims that Conte has spoken to some of the main PSG figures in order to sell himself for the role that is expected to be vacant at the end of the season.

The Ligue 1 giants are said to part with Mauricio Pochettino in the summer for his failure in the UEFA Champions League and are currently considering their options to replace the Argentine.

Pochettino has also been linked with a return to north London, and Conte, believed to be his favorite for the role, convinced PSG to add him to the list of options.

However, topping that list of options is former Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane, who is currently free from the sport and will only return for a job in the French national team or a job at Paris Saint-Germain. However, newer reports claim that Zidane is prioritizing the France national team, which could make him wait until after the 2022 FIFA World Cup later this year to make a decision.

But in a statement released last month, Conte reiterated his commitment to Spurs. The former Chelsea boss said: “Certainly at the moment there is only one truth – I am committed to this club for another year.

“The club wanted this kind of situation and I accepted it because it was good to get to know each other. After four months I think the club has understood the way I want to work and I understand the club.

“We have another three months until the end of the season to continue improving our knowledge of each other and then find the best solution for both of them. I can tell you that I enjoy working at this club and would like to fight for something important for this club.”

It is also understood that Conte will only stay at the club if he likes his transfer plans. It remains to be seen what will be the result of his meeting with Paris Saint-Germain and the decision of Tottenham president Daniel Levy regarding the club’s summer transfers.
