Paris Saint-Germain has made Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus a target, according to the latest reports.

It is no secret that Manchester City is applying to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, who is also targeted by Paris Saint-Germain and other major clubs across Europe.

Paris Saint-Germain has since decided to look for other options as Haaland seems out of reach, and he has been linked to a number of attackers. Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku is the biggest name associated with the Parisiens, as previous reports said that a meeting has already taken place between PSG sporting director Leonardo Araujo and the Belgian’s entourage.

New reports now claim that the Ligue 1 leaders have taken steps to wrest Gabriel Jesus from the hands of Man City.

Gabriel Jesus has been at Manchester City since 2017, his first foray into Europe after moving from his hometown club Palmeiras. At that time, Sergio Aguero studied and also excellently delegated the legendary Argentine when called up.

He was also a useful striker for Pep Guardiola who used him throughout the attack and so far, he has scored 89 goals in 227 appearances for the club.

Jesus fell under the city’s tap system and speculation arose about his future. According to the latest reports, PSG have now thrown themselves into the mix, with an offer to give the 25-year-old a new challenge.

However, they will have to deal with rivals Juventus and Borussia Dortmund, who are seeking to replace outgoing Haaland with the Brazilian.

City are known to be open to selling Jesus this summer and it is expected that it will be a numbers game in the summer for the Brazilian to sign.

Jesus, if he moves to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, could start a new European adventure under the tutelage of Zinedine Zidane, according to reports.

Zidane has been linked to the PSG job since retiring from Real Madrid’s dugout, and it has been reported that the French legend, currently full-time from the sport, is only interested in PSG or the French national team’s job to return to active football.

The Parisiens have reportedly decided to part ways with Pochettino no matter how the season ends. The Parisiens could also come under new ownership as Qatar Sports Investments, the club’s owner, made a decision to withdraw from the club next season.
