Serbia midfield ace Nemanja Matic has reportedly been “offered” to Roma as he prepares to leave Old Trafford to seek greener playing fields in Europe.
The 33-year-old central midfielder has endured a fruitless five-year stint at Old Trafford since arriving from Chelsea in 2017 and now it looks like a reunion with former Manchester United and Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is in contention stands.
According to reports from Calciomercatothe Serb could play his last few days at the Stadio Olimpico as the Giallorossi Prepare for a summer overhaul, with the midfield position needing an experienced ace – a requirement Matic looks set to meet.

Both Mourinho and Matic have had a fruitful relationship during their days together at both English clubs and a Roma-linked agent is close to finalizing a deal between the player and the Roman club.
A third Mourinho reunion is on the books for Matic but two complications come with the transfer.
Firstly, the age of the experienced midfielder plays a role Giallorossi would have to seriously think about it and then his salary demands come, because he currently earns 7 million euros net per season with the Red Devils.
Nemanja Matić, 2017: “I had other offers but Mourinho is Mourinho. It’s exciting to work with him, he’s the best coach in the world and I want to work with him for a long time to come.”
Roma are reportedly interested in signing Matić as a free agent in the summer.

The latter of the two snags, however, is comparatively easier to defuse for Roma, as they could benefit from Italy’s growth decree, which would help them afford high wages.
