Milan have been constantly linked with Olympique Lyonnais prodigy Maxence Caqueret, with reports suggesting a Pierre Kalulu-style transfer for the highly-rated 22-year-old midfielder. However, conflicting reports from France now suggest that the Frenchman is heading for a contract extension at Lyon.

His current deal at Lyon expires in the summer of 2023 and Milan have a chance to bag his signature at a reduced price instead of his €20m transfer market Value. But the chance of nearly quadrupling his salary seems to have piqued his interest.
