Atlanta United returned to Mercedes-Benz Stadium this evening after a fruitless road trip that saw 2-1 defeats at the hands of Inter Miami and F Montreal, extending their winless run in league matches to four. Now, they’d welcome the Chicago Fire with a chance to return to the winning column and possibly the top half of the Eastern Conference.
If there’s any opponent who can kick the Five Stripes back into gear, it’s Fire, who isn’t too hot right now with no wins and only one goal in their last five MLS games. Atlanta’s attack has shown flashes of life in recent games, but a big home result could give them the confidence and morale needed to come up to the table.
Tonight’s game is broadcast regionally on Bally Sports South, with live on the Bally Sports app or ESPN+ for those outside the blackout, and on air on 92.9 The Game and La Major 1600 AM in Spanish.
