It was a day when Atlanta United were as dominant as you could reasonably expect when on the road to playing in tough MLS conditions. But simple mistakes were enough to undo a positive result as Inter Miami took advantage of their limited opportunities. Meanwhile, Atalanta missed several chances to boost their goal tally throughout the match. Center referee, Jair Marofo, also decided not to award Atlanta United’s penalties twice, even once after watching replays on a pitch-side screen.
This will be difficult for Gonzalo Pineda and the team to swallow.
