His strong performances with Brighton earned him international fame with Spain, where he appeared last year in a World Cup qualifier against Georgia.
The Spaniard has kept eight clean sheets in the league this season and has been strong overall for Graham Potter’s side, attracting the attention of Newcastle United as a result. Eddie Howe is looking for a new goalkeeper and it is understood that Sanchez is the preferred choice for the Magpies.
